Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce Low-sodium preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 2 pieces Green Onions, finely sliced Divided use.
  • 1 pieces Avocado, sliced
  • 1 sheet Seaweed, sliced into strips Nori recommended.
  • 2 cups Rice, cooked and cooled Sushi rice is perfect.
  • 1 pieces Cucumber, diced or julienned
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds, for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Cut the sushi-grade ahi tuna into bite-sized cubes and place it in a mixing bowl.
  3. In the same bowl, add soy sauce, sesame oil, and half of the green onions. Mix gently until the tuna is well-coated and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
Assembly
  1. Lay down a generous portion of the cooled rice at the bottom of serving bowls.
  2. Spoon the marinated ahi tuna over the rice.
  3. Add diced cucumbers and sliced avocado around the tuna. Sprinkle sesame seeds and the remaining green onions on top.
  4. Finish by adding the strips of seaweed.
  5. Serve fresh, drizzling more soy sauce to taste if desired.

Notes

Use the freshest fish and vegetables for the best flavor. Letting the tuna rest in the marinade enhances the flavor. For storage, keep components separate for best texture.
