Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onions, bell peppers, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the cooked beef. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and stretch it slightly to fit a greased pie dish.
- Layer half of the dough into the bottom of the dish, then spread half of the pizza sauce, layer half of the beef mixture, and one cup of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers.
- Top with the remaining dough, sealing the edges and cutting a few slits on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the crust is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serve warm.
Notes
Feel free to customize your toppings. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes.
