  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts (trimmed and halved)
  • 3-4 strips Halal turkey bacon (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and slice them in half.
Cook the Turkey Bacon
  1. In a skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
Combine Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, cooked turkey bacon, maple syrup, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until well-coated.
Roast
  1. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway through, until golden and caramelized.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and serve hot. Optionally garnish with chopped nuts or cheese.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
