Ingredients
  

For the Peach Filling
  • 4 cups Fresh Peaches, peeled and sliced (about 6-8 medium peaches) Use ripe peaches for best flavor.
  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar For mixing with the peaches.
For the Batter
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar Remaining sugar for the batter.
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon (optional) For additional flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced peaches and ¾ cup of sugar. Set aside for 10 minutes.
Making the Batter
  1. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, the remaining ¼ cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter into the batter mixture.
Combining and Baking
  1. In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, pour the batter evenly across the bottom.
  2. Spoon the peach mixture over the batter without stirring.
  3. If desired, sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top.
  4. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Let the cobbler sit for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. This cobbler can last 3-4 days in the refrigerator or up to 3 months in the freezer.
