Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts (boneless and skinless)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by patting the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and seasoning them with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble pleasantly.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
Cooking
  1. Gently place the seasoned chicken breasts into the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  2. Flip the chicken to cook the other side for another 6-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Finishing Touches
  1. As the chicken nears completion, sprinkle the dried thyme over it, allowing the flavor to infuse into the sauce.
  2. Remove the chicken from the heat, transfer it to a serving dish, and pour the buttery garlic sauce over the top.
  3. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Substitutions: Olive oil can be used instead of butter for a lighter version. You can swap thyme with oregano or rosemary. Avoid overcrowding the skillet to prevent steaming the chicken.
