Method
Preparation
- Start by patting the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and seasoning them with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble pleasantly.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
Cooking
- Gently place the seasoned chicken breasts into the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Flip the chicken to cook the other side for another 6-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Finishing Touches
- As the chicken nears completion, sprinkle the dried thyme over it, allowing the flavor to infuse into the sauce.
- Remove the chicken from the heat, transfer it to a serving dish, and pour the buttery garlic sauce over the top.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Substitutions: Olive oil can be used instead of butter for a lighter version. You can swap thyme with oregano or rosemary. Avoid overcrowding the skillet to prevent steaming the chicken.
