Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the Halal breakfast sausage. Cook it until it’s browned and fully cooked through, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the 6 eggs, and whisk in the milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large casserole dish, layer the cubed bread, cooked sausage, and shredded cheese evenly.
- Pour the egg mixture over everything, ensuring all ingredients are evenly coated.
- If using, sprinkle the chopped bell peppers or onions on top of the casserole.
Baking
- Place your casserole in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the egg is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and freeze portions for up to a month.
