  • 6 hoagie rolls

Method

  1. Step-by-Step Instructions
  2. Prepare the Meat:

  4. Assemble in the Crockpot:
  5. Place the sliced onions and bell peppers in the bottom of the crockpot. Add the seasoned chuck roast on top.
  6. Add the Liquids and Seasoning:
  7. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning.
  8. Cook Low and Slow:
  9. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 7–8 hours or on high for 4–5 hours, until the beef is tender and easily shredded.

  11. Use tongs or a fork to shred the beef directly in the crockpot. Mix it well with the onions, peppers, and juices.
  12. Assemble the Sandwiches:

  15. Broil the sandwiches for 1–2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  16. Serve:
  17. Serve the sandwiches hot, optionally with a side of chips, fries, or a salad.
