Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook and shred the chicken if not using pre-cooked chicken.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
Mixing and Baking
- In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, marinara sauce, cooked pasta, mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle remaining Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs over the top.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your casserole!
Notes
You can substitute chicken with turkey or a vegetarian protein. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months. Reheat covered at 350°F until warmed through.
