Ingredients

Fruits
  • 2 cups cubed apples (any variety you prefer)
  • 2 cups cubed pears
  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 cup mandarin orange segments
  • 1 cup grapes, halved
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional, can use walnuts or almonds) For added crunch
Dressing
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash your fruits thoroughly. Chop the apples and pears into bite-sized cubes and slice the grapes in half.
Combine Fruits
  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the cubed apples, pears, pomegranate seeds, mandarin oranges, and halved grapes. If using nuts, toss them in at this stage for extra crunch.
Make the Dressing
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together maple syrup, lime juice, and lime zest until well combined.
Dress the Salad
  1. Pour the dressing over the fruit mixture and gently toss until all the fruits are coated evenly.
Chill and Serve
  1. If you have time, let the salad chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to three days. To prevent browning, add extra lime juice before storing. Serve the dressing on the side for guests to add to taste.
