Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix everything until fully blended.
- Roll the mixture into meatballs, about 1 ½ inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked.
- While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the meatballs are ready, place them inside the sub rolls. Spoon marinara sauce over the meatballs and then layer with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Place the assembled subs on a baking sheet and return them to the oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
- Take the subs out of the oven, let them cool for a moment, and then serve. Enjoy with a fresh side salad or some crispy chips!
Notes
To prevent soggy rolls, lightly toast them before adding the meat and sauce. Customize your sauce with herbs or red pepper flakes for additional flavor.
