For the Pie
  • 1 piece pre-made pie crust Use your favorite brand or homemade.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Semi-sweet or milk chocolate works well.
  • 1 cup shredded coconut Unsweetened coconut is preferred.
  • 1 cup chopped nuts Pecans or walnuts are great choices.
  • 4 pieces eggs Large eggs work best.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Adjust to taste if desired.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Light or dark brown sugar can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Use pure vanilla extract for better flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances the flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place your pre-made pie crust into a pie dish and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together.
  4. Add in both sugars, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until combined and slightly frothy.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, until the filling is set and the top is golden.
  2. Allow the pie to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For serving, pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze wrapped tightly.
