Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure your butter is softened at room temperature.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds aromatic flavor.
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Gradually add to the mixture.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Ensure they are halal-compliant.
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits Make sure they are halal-compliant.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract until evenly blended.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt to the mixture, mixing until you achieve a crumbly dough.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and toffee bits until evenly distributed.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Flatten each cookie ball slightly using the palm of your hand.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Cooling
  1. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months and let thaw at room temperature.
