Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz linguine Long strands of pasta.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Makes the dish rich and creamy.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Provides aromatic kick.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Adds a fresh note.
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes For gentle heat.
  • 1/2 tsp salt Enhances flavors.
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper For added depth.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds richness.

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, add a generous pinch of salt and the linguine. Cook according to the package instructions, usually around 8-10 minutes, or until al dente.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Make sure not to let it brown; we want it golden and smooth.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter slowly. Stir it for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Take your cooked linguine and carefully transfer it into the skillet with the garlic butter. Toss in the chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Gently toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated.
  2. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese generously over the pasta, and toss again until well combined. Adjust seasoning if needed.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, topped with a bit more parsley for garnish if desired.
