Ingredients

For the salmon
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
For the avocado lime sauce
  • 2 pieces ripe avocados
  • 2 pieces limes (juiced)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • for garnish Fresh cilantro

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over the fillets and sprinkle Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper evenly on top.
Baking
  1. Bake the salmon for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Making the Avocado Lime Sauce
  1. While the salmon is baking, combine the peeled avocados, lime juice, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Serving
  1. Once the salmon is done baking, remove it from the oven and serve immediately topped with a generous dollop of the avocado lime sauce. Don’t forget to sprinkle fresh cilantro on top for added flavor!

Notes

Adjust spice levels by using less Cajun seasoning or opt for a mild version. Store uneaten salmon and avocado sauce in airtight containers in the refrigerator. The salmon will stay fresh for up to 3 days; the avocado sauce is best consumed fresh within 1 day. Reheat salmon gently in the oven.
