Method
Preparation
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Making the Sauce
- In a small mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, Sriracha, garlic powder, and ground ginger. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are well incorporated.
Cooking the Shrimp
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp, cooking for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are cooked through.
- Pour the honey glaze over the shrimp in the skillet. Stir to coat the shrimp evenly with the sauce and allow it to cook for another 2-3 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly.
Serving
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
Freshness is key! Look for shrimp that are translucent and firm to the touch. Adjust the spice by reducing the Sriracha for a milder version. Don’t overcook the shrimp as it can become rubbery. Experiment with add-ins like chopped bell peppers or snap peas for extra texture.
