Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 pounds potatoes, diced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • to taste none Salt
  • 1 none Juice of 1 lemon
  • none none Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • none none Chili peppers, sliced (optional for extra spice)

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by washing and peeling the potatoes, then dice them into bite-sized cubes. Aim for even sizes to ensure consistent cooking.
Cooking the Potatoes
  1. In a large mixing bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, and salt until evenly coated.
Baking Time
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer, making sure there’s space between each one for maximum crispiness.
Roast Away
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even browning. Keep an eye on them; you want them golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Finishing Touch
  1. Once cooked, remove them from the oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and chili peppers if you want to turn up the heat!
Serve
  1. Plate your delicious Spicy Lebanese Potatoes and watch as your loved ones dig in!

Notes

For substitutions, if you want a milder flavor, feel free to swap cayenne with smoked paprika or omit it altogether! Ensure ample spacing for crispy potatoes and avoid cutting them unevenly.
