Preparation
- Wash and trim the chicken breasts as necessary and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss in the chopped jalapenos and mix well.
- Add the chicken to the bowl and ensure each piece is evenly coated. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
Cooking
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the marinated chicken breasts to the hot skillet. Cook each side for about 5-7 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Once done, garnish with freshly chopped cilantro.
Serving
- Plate the chicken and serve warm, optionally alongside a salad or rice.
Notes
To store, allow the chicken to cool completely before placing in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. For freezing, use freezer-safe containers or bags for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
