Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Stir until well mixed.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeños until evenly distributed.
- Slowly add beer to the dry mixture and stir gently until the batter comes together. Some lumps are okay.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and drizzle melted butter on top if desired.
Baking
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool before slicing.
Notes
Store leftover bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. To reheat, slice and toast or warm in the oven.
