  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Hamburger buns Use the largest buns to avoid mess.

Preparation
  1. Begin by chopping the onion and green bell pepper into small, bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it loses its pink color and drain excess fat.
Cooking
  1. In the slow cooker, add the cooked ground beef, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, mustard, and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Stir everything together until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for about 4-6 hours, or on high for about 2-3 hours.
Serving
  1. Once the cooking time is up, stir the mixture and adjust seasoning if needed, then serve in hamburger buns and garnish with toppings of choice.

Notes

You can customize your flavors by adding diced jalapeƱos for a spicy kick or barbecue sauce for added sweetness. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
