Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound steak (cut into bite-sized pieces) Use a tender cut of steak for best results.
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Low sodium soy sauce can be used for a healthier option.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch To thicken the sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Green onions for garnish Adds color and crunch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting your steak into bite-sized pieces. Make sure they’re uniform in size for even cooking. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Stir until well mixed.
Cooking
  1. Place the steak pieces into your slow cooker and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Gently toss to coat the steak evenly.
  2. Cover and cook on low heat for about 4-5 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, until the steak is tender and infused with flavor.
  3. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Stir this mixture into the slow cooker to help thicken your sauce.
Serving
  1. Once done, garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve warm.
