Preparation
- Begin by spraying your slow cooker with a non-stick cooking spray or lightly greasing it with oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the fully cooked ham into the slow cooker. If the ham doesn’t fit well, you can cut it into halves or quarters.
Mix and Cook
- In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, crushed pineapple (with juice), honey, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves. Stir until perfectly blended.
- Pour the pineapple and brown sugar mixture over the ham, ensuring it soaks through the ham as much as possible.
- Put the lid on the slow cooker and set it to low heat for 4-5 hours or high heat for 2-3 hours. Make sure the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140°F (60°C).
Finishing Touches
- Once fully cooked, carefully remove the ham from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Before slicing, drizzle some of the leftover glaze over the sliced ham for extra flavor!
Notes
For a Halal-friendly option, use turkey ham or chicken slices. Adjust cooking time based on ham size. Always keep the ham covered while cooking for juiciness.
