Ingredients

For the Ham
  • 1 piece fully cooked ham (around 4-6 lbs) Can be adjusted based on the size needed.
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup brown sugar Adds sweetness and glaze texture.
  • 20 oz can crushed pineapple, undrained Provides moisture and flavor.
  • 1/4 cup honey Optional sweetness balance.
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon Enhances the flavor profile.
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves Adds a warm spice note.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by spraying your slow cooker with a non-stick cooking spray or lightly greasing it with oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the fully cooked ham into the slow cooker. If the ham doesn’t fit well, you can cut it into halves or quarters.
Mix and Cook
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, crushed pineapple (with juice), honey, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves. Stir until perfectly blended.
  2. Pour the pineapple and brown sugar mixture over the ham, ensuring it soaks through the ham as much as possible.
  3. Put the lid on the slow cooker and set it to low heat for 4-5 hours or high heat for 2-3 hours. Make sure the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140°F (60°C).
Finishing Touches
  1. Once fully cooked, carefully remove the ham from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes.
  2. Before slicing, drizzle some of the leftover glaze over the sliced ham for extra flavor!

Notes

For a Halal-friendly option, use turkey ham or chicken slices. Adjust cooking time based on ham size. Always keep the ham covered while cooking for juiciness.
