  • 1 can (15 oz) Sloppy Joe sauce
  • 2 cups tater tots
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and chopped onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked.
  3. Drain any excess fat and stir in the can of Sloppy Joe sauce. Simmer for a few minutes until heated through.
  4. In a greased baking dish, spread the meat mixture evenly.
  5. Top with tater tots, arranging them in a single layer.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.
Baking
  1. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Consider using ground turkey or chicken for a lighter dish. Customize with toppings like green onions or sour cream. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in the fridge, or frozen for 2 months.
