Ingredients

  • 8 ounces aged cheddar cheese Choose a sharp aged cheddar

Cured Meats
  • 8 ounces halal salami Sliced thin
  • 8 ounces halal turkey breast or chicken breast slices Choose your preferred deli meat
  • 8 ounces smoked chicken Use sliced or shredded
Crackers and Bread
  • 1 box assorted crackers Select a variety of flavors
  • 1 baguette sliced into pieces Freshly sliced for best flavor
Fresh Fruits
  • 1 cup grapes Red or green, your choice
  • 1 cup figs Substitute with fresh berries if desired

Nuts

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the cheeses, meats, and fruits into bite-sized pieces.
Assembly
  1. Use a large wooden cutting board or a slate platter as your base.
  2. Place the cheeses on the board, spacing them evenly and alternating the heights.
  3. Roll or fold the slices of halal salami, turkey breast, and smoked chicken and place them around or between the cheeses.
  4. Fill gaps with assorted crackers and baguette slices.
  5. Scatter the grapes, figs, and apple slices around the board.
  6. Add bowls or small piles of mixed nuts and olives in leftover spaces.
  7. Make little spots for your spreads—serve hummus and fig jam in small bowls around the board.

Notes

Consider substituting cheeses based on preferences. Prepare items before guests arrive for freshness. Avoid overcrowding the board for visual appeal.
