Shrimp and Sauce
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp recommended.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (or olive oil for a dairy-free option) Use olive oil for a lighter version.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic provides the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) Add for a touch of heat.
  • 1/2 each Juice from half a lemon Fresh lemon juice enhances flavor.
  • Salt and black pepper to taste Season according to preference.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish For added freshness.

Method

Cooking Pasta
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the spaghetti or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
Sautéing Shrimp
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
  2. Toss in the shrimp and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook until the shrimp turns pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the drained pasta to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water and lemon juice. Toss everything together gently, ensuring the pasta is well coated.
Garnishing and Serving
  1. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy.
