Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 16 oz 1 package frozen pierogies Usually about 16 oz
  • 1 lb Halal kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced Choose your favorite color!
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
For Garnish
  • Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the frozen pierogies, sliced kielbasa, chopped onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper. Drizzle with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper. Toss everything together to ensure the pierogies and kielbasa are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the mixture out on a large baking sheet in a single layer. Place the sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through to achieve a uniform golden color.
  4. Once everything is crispy and golden brown, remove it from the oven. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Substitutions: If you're short on kielbasa, consider using turkey or beef sausage. Adding diced sweet potatoes can provide lovely sweetness. Timing is key: flip the pierogies and sausage halfway through the baking time. Watch for overcooking to achieve golden brown perfection.
