Preparation
- Start by slicing the beef sirloin into thin strips, and prepare the bell pepper and onion. Make sure they are cut into uniform sizes for even cooking.
- In a skillet, add a little oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Transfer the sautéed garlic to your slow cooker and add the sliced beef, bell pepper, and onion.
Cooking
- In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, and cornstarch until well combined. Pour this mixture over the contents in the slow cooker.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, depending on your schedule.
- Once it’s ready, taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.
Serving
- Serve hot over a bed of rice or noodles.
Notes
Feel free to swap beef sirloin for another Halal-friendly cut. Ensure to slice against the grain for tenderness and do not overload the slow cooker. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
