Method
- Prepare the dough (if homemade):
- In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, salt, and flour gradually. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for 5 minutes, then cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Form the bites:
- Punch down the dough and divide it into small balls (about 1 inch each).
- Arrange them close together on a greased or parchment-lined baking pan.
- If using store-bought dough:
- Cut biscuit or pizza dough into small pieces and arrange on the pan.
- Make the garlic butter:
- In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in minced garlic, parsley, salt, and Parmesan (if using).
- Brush and bake:
- Brush the dough balls generously with the garlic butter mixture.
- Cover and let rest for 15 minutes while preheating oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Finish and serve:
- Brush with more garlic butter after baking for extra flavor.
- Serve warm, ideally with marinara sauce or cheese dip.
Notes
You can use frozen dinner rolls or pizza dough for a shortcut.
Add shredded mozzarella or cheddar between layers for a cheesy version.
Best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the oven for 5 minutes.
Great for parties, pasta dinners, or as a side for soups.
