Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground sausage until cooked through and nicely browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked sausage, green beans, diced potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, and half of the shredded cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Serving
- Once baked, remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For lighter versions, swap ground sausage for turkey sausage or plant-based alternatives. Drain green beans well to avoid a watery casserole.
