Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 pound ground sausage Opt for turkey sausage for a leaner option.
  • 6 large eggs Scrambled to golden perfection.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or your favorite cheese works great.
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough These make the best base for the rolls.
  • to taste salt and pepper Seasoning is essential!

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the ground sausage until it's browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, salt, and pepper together. Pour the mixture into another skillet and scramble over medium heat until just set.
  4. Once the sausage has cooled slightly, mix in the scrambled eggs and shredded cheese until fully combined.
  5. Open the package of crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place a generous spoonful of the sausage-egg-cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up tightly towards the point.
  6. Place the rolls on a lined baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Allow the rolls to cool slightly, then enjoy your delicious creation!

Notes

Feel free to add other fillings like diced bell peppers, onions, or spinach. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days, and reheat in the microwave or oven.
