  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1/4 cup orange juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
For coating
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips Melted for coating.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil To help melt the chocolate smoothly.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  2. Mix in the crushed vanilla wafers, orange juice, and orange zest until well incorporated.
  3. Scoop out spoonfuls of the mixture and roll them into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the formed truffles onto a lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 15-20 minutes to firm up.
Coating
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
  2. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted white chocolate, ensuring they are coated, and return them to the baking sheet.
  3. Before the white chocolate sets, sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers or orange zest on top.
  4. Chill the truffles again for another 15 minutes to set completely.
