Preparation
- Start by brewing 1 cup of your favorite espresso or strong coffee.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, add 1 cup of milk. Heat it until steaming hot but not boiling—about 3-5 minutes.
- Whisk in the 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, and the 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract into the heated milk until well combined.
- Pour the brewed coffee into your favorite mug and slowly add the flavored milk mixture to it.
- Top with whipped cream, if using, and sprinkle additional pumpkin pie spice on top.
