Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced green or red for a pop of color
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 slices provolone cheese or substitute with mozzarella or cheddar
  • 12 slider buns
  • Optional: mayonnaise or additional toppings like jalapeños or mushrooms

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes, until they’re tender and fragrant. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Increase the heat to high, and add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the steak is browned. Remove from heat.
  4. Place the bottom halves of the slider buns onto a baking dish. Layer the steak and veggie mixture on top, and then place a slice of provolone cheese over each one. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden.
  6. Once done, let cool for a minute. Slice apart and serve warm with optional condiments!

Notes

Serve with crispy potato wedges, fresh side salad, coleslaw, or pickles. Pair with your favorite soda or iced tea for a complete meal.
