Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the beef tenderloin dry with paper towels.
  3. Mix together the salt, crushed peppercorns, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  4. Rub the mixture all over the tenderloin.
Searing and Roasting
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear the beef on all sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer the seared beef to a roasting pan and roast for about 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
Serving
  1. Remove the tenderloin from the oven and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Slice the tenderloin and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
