Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, granulated sugar, egg, baking soda, and vanilla extract. Stir together until a smooth dough forms.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop out portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each ball.
- Lightly flatten each dough ball with your fingers or the bottom of a glass.
Baking
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Press chocolate chips into the tops of the cookies to resemble eyes.
- While still warm, insert pretzel sticks into the sides to form spider legs.
Cooling
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
