Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the halal sausage until browned and fully cooked through. Break it into bite-sized pieces and drain excess grease.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs until combined. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- In another bowl, mix the pancake mix, cooked sausage, and egg mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the shredded cheese and maple syrup.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Cut into squares and serve with extra maple syrup or fruits.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze individual portions for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
