  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve the orange jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved, then mix in 1 cup of cold water. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until partially set.
  2. Once the jello is slightly thickened, add the mandarin oranges, mini marshmallows, and shredded coconut if using. Gently fold everything together.
  3. Carefully fold in the whipped topping until everything is well-combined, creating that fluffy texture we all adore.
