Ingredients

For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 unit zest of 1 orange
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a gluten-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper
For the Salmon
  • 4 fillets salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • optional fresh parsley, for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together fresh orange juice, orange zest, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare the grill.
Cooking
  1. Remove the fillets from the marinade and place them skin-side down on a baking sheet or grill. Drizzle the remaining marinade over the top.
  2. Bake for 12–15 minutes or grill for about 6–8 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat and let the salmon rest for a few minutes. Optionally, sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy the delightful flavors!

Notes

For a sweeter glaze, add more honey or maple syrup. Adjust cooking times based on the thickness of the salmon fillets. Pair with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.
