Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each) Ensure the salmon is thawed completely.
  • ΒΌ cup honey Use pure honey for best results.
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter Divided usage for cooking.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Ensure it's Halal.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Fresh lemon juice preferred.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (for garnish) Chopped, for serving.

Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Lightly season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the hot pan and let it melt.
  3. Carefully place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. While the salmon cooks, mix together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  5. Gently flip the salmon fillets over and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Let them cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, basting them with the sauce as they cook.
  6. Add the remaining butter into the pan and allow it to melt into the sauce. Cook for another minute until everything is nicely coated and the salmon is cooked through.
  7. Remove the skillet from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, use a skillet over low heat or microwave carefully to avoid drying out the salmon.
