Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Forms the base of your loaf.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adds sweetness to your loaf.
  • 1 tsp baking soda Provides the necessary rise.
  • 1 tsp baking powder Complements the baking soda for extra fluffiness.
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon A key spice that brings warmth and flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp salt Enhances all the flavors.
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil Keeps the loaf moist.
  • 1 large egg Adds structure and richness.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract A classic flavor that rounds out the sweetness.
Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups diced apples Freshly diced apples are essential for that refreshing crunch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Add the vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until just combined.
  4. Gently fold the diced apples into the batter, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Once baked, allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For varied flavor, try mixing different apple varieties. Avoid overmixing to prevent a tough loaf.
