Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease or line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla extract and mix again.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just blended.
  5. Gently fold in the oats and raisins until evenly distributed in the batter.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  2. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. These bars can also be refrigerated for longer freshness, and can be reheated in the microwave for a few seconds before serving.
