Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup natural almond or peanut butter Creamy, smooth nut butter works best.
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup For a touch of natural sweetness.

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips Make sure to choose halal-certified options.

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until evenly mixed.
  2. In a separate bowl, warm the almond or peanut butter with the honey or maple syrup until well-combined and pourable.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until the oats are coated evenly.
  4. Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the dish and press down firmly.
  6. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set.
  7. Once set, remove from the dish using parchment paper, slice into bars, and enjoy your no-bake chocolate oat bars!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze individually for up to three months. To enjoy, thaw in the fridge or at room temperature.
