Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Fresh Green Beans, trimmed and washed
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (for sautéing)
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt (adjust to taste)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed, for added zest)

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by rinsing and trimming the ends off the green beans. Cut them into 2-inch pieces if desired.
  2. In a large skillet, add the 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Allow it to heat up for about a minute but be careful not to let it smoke.
Cooking
  1. Stir in the minced garlic, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add the trimmed green beans to the skillet. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. You want them to be bright green and tender-crisp.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper, adjusting to your taste preference, and continue to cook for another minute to infuse the flavors.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat, drizzle with lemon juice, and toss to combine. If using, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy the crunchy, flavorful experience of your Must Try Sautéed Green Beans!

Notes

For perfect crunch, don’t overcook the green beans; they should still have bite and brightness. You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
