Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 8 pieces hot dogs (beef, turkey, or your preferred option)
  • to taste mustard or ketchup (for serving)
  • optional cooking spray (for greasing the baking sheet)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it into a flat sheet.
  3. Divide the dough into narrow strips (around ½ inch wide).
Assembly
  1. Take one hot dog and wrap the dough strips around it, leaving a space for the 'eyes'.
  2. Continue wrapping until the hot dog is covered but some parts are still visible.
  3. Repeat this for all hot dogs.
Baking
  1. Place the wrapped hot dogs on a greased baking sheet, about an inch apart.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the dough turns golden brown.
Finishing Touch
  1. Use a dot of mustard or ketchup to create spooky eyes on each 'mummy'.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with your favorite condiments and enjoy!

Notes

Try using different wraps like puff pastry for variety. You can experiment by adding cheese or spices to the hot dogs for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days or freeze unbaked mummies for up to a month.
