Ingredients

For the Jello
  • 3 boxes Key Jello (various colors) Use 3 different flavors
  • 1 cup Gelatin Ensure it’s a Halal-certified product
  • 4 cups Water Divided into 2 cups boiling and 2 cups cold
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust according to taste
  • Whipped cream For serving (store-bought or homemade)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized pot, combine 2 cups of water with sugar and bring to a boil over medium heat. Once the sugar has completely dissolved, remove it from the heat.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix each colored Jello with 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved.
  3. In another bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 2 cups of cold water. Let it sit for about five minutes until it softens. Then combine this gelatin mix with the sugar and water mixture.
  4. Now, pour each of the dissolved Jello mixtures in turn into a container, ensuring to let each layer set for at least 30 minutes in the fridge before adding the next color.
  5. Once all the layers have set, take it out and use a melon baller or small cookie scoop to create balls. Place them in a serving dish.
  6. Top with a dollop of whipped cream when ready to serve. Enjoy your vibrant and festive treat!

Notes

If you manage to have leftovers, store your Jello Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. While reheating isn’t necessary, for a softer texture, let them sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before serving.
