Ingredients
  

For the Sandwiches
  • 8 slices slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your favorite type)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (a mix of cheddar and mozzarella) Feel free to mix cheeses for a deeper flavor!
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened) Generously spread on the bread for a golden crust.
  • Sliced tomatoes (optional) For added freshness.
  • Fresh basil (optional) To enhance flavor.
  • Cooked halal turkey or chicken slices (optional)
  • Spices like garlic powder or black pepper (optional) To taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lay out the slices of bread on a clean surface.
  3. Generously spread softened butter on one side of each slice.
  4. Place a handful of shredded cheese on the unbuttered side of half the slices.
  5. If desired, add sliced tomatoes or fresh herbs on top of the cheese.
  6. Assemble the sandwiches with the remaining slices, buttered side out.
Baking
  1. Arrange the mini sandwiches on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before cutting into quarters.
  2. Serve warm!

Notes

Experiment with different cheese varieties and bread types. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to a month.
