Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Lay out the slices of bread, and spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice. Optionally, sprinkle garlic powder or your favorite herbs.
Assembly
- Flip four slices of bread butter-side down on a baking sheet. Place a slice of cheese atop each one and top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
Baking
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, flipping the sandwiches halfway through.
Serving
- Once cooked, remove the sandwiches from the oven, slice them into quarters, and serve warm.
Notes
These mini grilled cheese sandwiches are best enjoyed hot, ideally paired with a warm bowl of tomato soup or a fresh garden salad.
