Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 8 slices slices of bread (white or whole-grain)
  • 8 slices slices of cheese (your choice, such as cheddar, mozzarella, or gouda)
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter (softened) For spreading on the bread
Optional Seasoning
  • to taste garlic powder, herbs, or your favorite spices For added flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Lay out the slices of bread, and spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice. Optionally, sprinkle garlic powder or your favorite herbs.
Assembly
  1. Flip four slices of bread butter-side down on a baking sheet. Place a slice of cheese atop each one and top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, flipping the sandwiches halfway through.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, remove the sandwiches from the oven, slice them into quarters, and serve warm.

Notes

These mini grilled cheese sandwiches are best enjoyed hot, ideally paired with a warm bowl of tomato soup or a fresh garden salad.
