- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, pour in the olive oil and allow it to warm for about 1 minute.
- Add minced garlic to the pan, stirring continuously for about 1-2 minutes, until the garlic becomes fragrant; be careful not to let it brown.
- Gradually stir in the heavy cream, allowing it to blend smoothly with the garlic oil. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Once the cream is simmering, add the freshly grated lemon zest and lemon juice. Stir well to combine all the flavors.
- Season your sauce with salt and pepper. Allow it to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- For the final touch, stir in the chopped parsley (if using) and remove the sauce from heat.
- Drizzle over your favorite pasta or protein, and finish with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
