Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, pour in the olive oil and allow it to warm for about 1 minute.
  2. Add minced garlic to the pan, stirring continuously for about 1-2 minutes, until the garlic becomes fragrant; be careful not to let it brown.
  3. Gradually stir in the heavy cream, allowing it to blend smoothly with the garlic oil. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  4. Once the cream is simmering, add the freshly grated lemon zest and lemon juice. Stir well to combine all the flavors.
  5. Season your sauce with salt and pepper. Allow it to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. For the final touch, stir in the chopped parsley (if using) and remove the sauce from heat.
  7. Drizzle over your favorite pasta or protein, and finish with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm gently over low heat, adding a splash of milk or cream if it thickens.
