Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Choose high-quality, fresh salmon.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Can substitute with olive oil for a different flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds aromatic flavor.
  • 1 piece Juice of 1 lemon Divided into two uses for cooking and garnish.
  • to taste none Salt and pepper Season generously.
  • to taste none Chopped parsley for garnish Optional for decoration.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your skillet: Begin by heating a non-stick or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Prepare the salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, which helps achieve that beautiful sear. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Melt the butter: Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the heated skillet. Allow it to melt completely, swirling it around to coat the bottom.
Cooking
  1. Add garlic: Once the butter begins to bubble, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
  2. Cook the salmon: Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and the fish is nearly cooked through.
  3. Flip the salmon: Using a spatula, flip each fillet and squeeze half of the lemon juice over the top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked to your liking.
  4. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, drizzle with the remaining lemon juice, and garnish with chopped parsley.
Serving
  1. Enjoy: Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
