  • 3 medium medium-sized zucchinis sliced into ¼-inch rounds
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil or sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce ensure it's Halal compliant
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Ground black pepper
Optional Garnishes
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnishing
  • to taste Chopped green onions for garnishing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the zucchinis thoroughly and slice them into ¼-inch rounds.
Marinade
  1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil (or sesame oil), soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add the sliced zucchini into the bowl with the marinade. Toss gently to ensure they're well-coated on all sides. Allow them to marinate for about 5-10 minutes.
Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Place the marinated zucchini slices on the hot grill. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until tender and grill marks appear.
Serving
  1. Remove the zucchini from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh zucchinis for best flavor. You can also experiment with different oils and vegetable combinations.
