Preparation

- Gather all your ingredients and chop the onion and garlic.
Mixing and Shaping
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, 1 cup of marinara sauce, onion, garlic, eggs, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until fully combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish or a lined loaf pan. Shape it into a loaf, smoothing the top.
Baking
- Spread an additional layer of marinara sauce on top of the formed meatloaf.
- Bake for approximately 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Serving
- Let your meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with additional marinara sauce.
Notes
Feel free to add minced bell peppers or grated carrots for extra flavor. Avoid over-mixing to prevent a dense texture.
